About this deal

When I first got these monitors I felt quite bad because I literally couldn't hear the C3 frequency. This was because the sound bouncing on the wall canceled out the sound coming directly from the monitors. I had 4 mattresses lying around so I built a little half cubical around my desk and this made the sound not drop out at important frequencies. Of course the frequency dips in some places but nothing drops out completely. The T7V features a 7-inch woofer which adds to the high-resolution of the stereo image and produces a deep and punchy low end, attributed to the rear-firing bass reflex port. It would’ve been nice to see an LED monitor on the front as we do with many other monitors these days, but it’s absence is not the worst thing in the world. Build quality 5.0

Fortunately for producers of music with warp-factor bass, ADAM offers a range of subwoofers for, in their own words, ’lower bass – not louder bass’. Their SUB7 is designed for smaller monitors while the range comprises several models more suited to larger control rooms or workstation environments. Conclusion

The Score Card

The T5V’s cabinet houses a 5in woofer alongside Adam Audio’s unusual-looking U-ART 1.9in ribbon tweeter, and there are dedicated internal Class-D amplifiers for each driver, with 20W driving the tweeter and 50W for the woofer. Each speaker is powered by a single IEC kettle lead. The wide frequency response, high dynamic range, excellent transient response, wide sweet spot and small footprints make the T7V perfectly suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post-production and broadcast production – a great fit for the modest budgets that many facilities need to work with. I think the KRKs are so overhyped at this point, and fair enough, they’ve certainly earned their place. At a certain point though, when will we stop buying things just because they’re the popular choice? Save yourself the headache and get the T7V. So all in all, great monitors sound wise. But with some ridiculous design decisions for sure. Their previous 'budget' series (F series) had both front ported bass ports and an essential on/off light on the front so it's really stupid they decided to drop these features. I would have

The Adam Audio T7V Studio Monitor is designed to produce accurate sound, allowing you to create clean, punchy, and professional mixdowns and productions. The T7V Studio Monitor provides you with fine tune controls that allow you to tailor the frequency response to perfectly suit the room or position it's in. The monitor features two 3-way switches that boost or cut the low and high frequencies by +/-5dB. They also provide a 'flat' setting. The switches allow the monitor to compensate for frequencies that may stand out too much when your monitor is positioned on shelves, a table top, a console bridge, or at varying distances between walls. This ensures that you are hearing accurate audio, not muffled by unwanted frequencies. Powerful and accurate sound For what it’s worth, the T7V is an exceptionally designed monitor. It has some weight to it, it feels solid, and as an added benefit, they look great.

In short, these are very, very good sounding speakers. Bass is remarkably deep and powerful, reaching down smoothly to around 40Hz before rolling off fairly rapidly, and the overall sound quality is smooth and detailed. Treble is a touch bright – and it remains so even with the high frequency EQ control set to its -2dB position – but it’s not unpleasant to listen to. Overall, I did prefer the T5V with a little bit of software EQ to bring down the top-end by a couple more dB, but it’s not essential: the rest of the frequency range is so balanced, and the bass so extended, that it doesn’t end up sounding overly sharp. If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered Throughout the entire reviewing process, the T7Vs impressed with their detailed, incisive treble and generous, full-bodied bass. Midrange accuracy and transparency is fine by any standards but it really is exceptionally good at this price point. The T7Vs image well, presenting an incredibly wide, expansive sound-stage rather than pin-point focus of individual instrument placing across the stereo spectrum, while image depth is cavernous.

This is why Spinorama was apparently groundbreaking news for audio industry. Hence in the mid-late 2010's, most brands and magazines began publishing Spinorama measurements, despite the challenges of making such measurements. A small gain knob smoothly adjusts the volume for each speaker, and two three-way switches allow you to choose from -2db, 0db and +2db settings for the low frequency and high frequency shelf EQ circuits. The brand’s extensive product range, including studio monitors, reference monitors, subwoofers, and headphones, is celebrated for its unparalleled sound quality and cutting-edge technology. ADAM Audio’s products are designed to meet the demands of audio engineers, producers, and music enthusiasts alike, featuring innovations like their proprietary S-ART tweeter, ELE bass drivers, and DSP-based room correction. Explore our collection and discover the unparalleled quality and advanced technology that ADAM Audio delivers in their active studio monitors. Whether you’re a burgeoning music producer or a professional mixing engineer, there’s a set of ADAM Audio monitors that wil enhance your creativity and listening experience. The only logistical issue worth mentioning, particularly if you’re considering the T5V for home use, is one that applies to the vast majority of studio monitors: the separate gain controls on the rear of each speaker aren’t intended for use like a volume control on a hi-fi amplifier. Instead, you set the T5V’s gain controls to a level that produces an acceptable maximum volume when your laptop, PC or whichever device is connected has its volume set to 100%, then control the volume solely via the connected device.

You should get an instant answer on whether your application has been successful, though in some rare cases Klarna or V12 may need to look at the application in more detail. Experience exceptional sound quality with ADAM Audio’s highly acclaimed studio monitors, subwoofers and headphones. In a typical small studio environment, the T7Vs manage a well‑balanced overall sound with detailed but non‑aggressive highs and confident lows that — while exhibiting a little overhang — don’t sound excessively ‘plummy’. Their stereo imaging is also well defined with a stable centre image. In many respects the sound follows the general character of the popular ADAM A7Xs, but with perhaps a little less overall brightness and tightness when the EQ is set flat. There may also be a hint less finesse in the mid‑range, but really there’s surprisingly little in it given the price difference. I found the T7Vs very comfortable to work with and I’d be happy to use them on serious projects. They remain clean‑sounding up to comfortable mixing levels, and while 110dB should be considered a peak rather than a target level, there’s plenty of clean power in hand when you consider that you’ll probably be sitting only a couple of feet from these speakers. Only one balanced input. An extra TRS input would have been nice. They keep saying this is to keep to cost down, fair enough. But why can a lot of other companies that make models in the same price range do these things but not Adam Audio?Again, my allegiance lies with Adam Audio, but the JBL 306P is a mildly more affordable solution to your financial woes. Above the inputs is a rotary control for level, stretching from -60 dB to +18 dB. HF and LF shelving filter switches also allow you to filter the highs and lows of the monitors from neutral, -2 dB, and +2 dB. As aforementioned, the Adam T8V offers the broadest bass response. That doesn't necessarily mean that the Adam T5V does not deliver here. If anything, the compact delivery of the same is quite remarkable.
